Chef Joris Rycken, Executive Chef of Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa has had over 16 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry. Chef Joris takes pride in the fact that everyone in Shangri-la is treated like family—that is to say, all guests and colleagues are to be treated with care and respect at all times. In the kitchen, Chef Joris strongly believes in being hands-on. As executive chef, even if he is not required to get his hands dirty in the kitchen, he will not hesitate to chop raw ingredients if his help is needed. With influences from Europe, the Middle East and Asia, you can expect to taste and experience world-class dining within the resort.
