Sinigang na Kanduli sa Miso
Veering away from gorging on holiday dishes rich in un-wanted cholesterol? Try Sinigang na Kanduli sa Miso! Aside from its distinct salty taste and buttery texture, miso has unique nutritional profile that is found to lessen the risk of having cancer.
Ingredients:
1 kilos or 3 pieces kanduli, fresh, cut into serving pieces
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
2 ½ teaspoons ginger, minced
80 grams miso, fresh
1 bundle mustasa
10 cups water
150 grams tomatoes
90 grams red onion, quartered
30 grams siling pangsigang
4 pieces labanos (radish)
200 grams sitaw (string beans) cut 2-inches long
200 grams kangkong
1 pouch Mama Sita’s Sinigang sa Sampalok mix
Patis or fish sauce to taste
Procedure:
1.Sauté garlic, ginger, onion and tomatoes.
2.Add the vegetables and stir-fry. Then, remove mustasa and set aside.
3.Add the miso and stir-fry. Add water and Mama Sita’s Sinigang sa Sampalok mix. Continue simmering for 3 minutes.
4.Add the fish and simmer until done. To taste, add patis and stir.
5.Turn off heat and then add mustasa.
