This cozy neighborhood café takes coffee very seriously. Despite their wide selection of hot and cold coffee concoctions, I usually order a simple cup of brewed coffee. But even for something as simple as that, I have to select from mild, standard and strong. I found the mild and the standard excellent.
If you must eat, try their line of soups and sandwiches. The soups are good value-for-money, served inside a hollowed out crusty bread and can be meals on their own. I liked their Pumpkin Soup (P120). It has a good aroma and is smooth, with a nice sweet flavor. I would get the Sloppy Joe Burger (P95) to go with it. The fries that accompany this, however, were a bit soggy. But the burger itself has a sweet, meaty flavor.
For dessert, try their Lemon Walnut Torte (P80/slice), Dulce de Leche Cheesecake (P100/slice) or Coffee Tiramisu (P80/slice). The leader of the pack is the Lemon Walnut Torte, pretty with soft peaks of white meringue, chewy lemon caramel custard and a walnut based crust, giving just the right mix of sweetness and tartness, softness and chewiness. Taken with their excellent brewed coffee, you just discovered a private little paradise.
