“BBQ” here stands for “Best of the Best Quality,” and when you get to taste the chicken dishes, you wouldn’t think they are far off from their claim! Take their Original Fried Chicken. It may seem a bit pricey at P290 for four pieces but you will be surprised. It has crispy, crunchy skin while the meat underneath is tender, flavorful and slightly spicy. Plus, it’s good even without the gravy! And even if it’s gone cold, it’s still crisp and flavorful and not the least bit soggy or greasy. I like to pair this with their excellent smoked salad (P195), which has strips of smoked chicken fillet combined with crispy fresh greens, vegetables and fruits. A creamy yet garlicky dressing ties everything together. Since this fast food chain is originally from South Korea, there are a few Korean items on the menu, like Grilled Chicken Bulgalbi (P295), a variant of the more familiar Korean barbecued beef ribs. The portion size is larger than in most Korean restaurants, as they use whole chicken fillets. Served with a side salad and danmuji (preserved radish), it is sweet with a mild grilled smoky flavor.
